I am a landscape photographer based in Poole, Dorset. England.  I'm a confirmed Nikon user with the Full Frame D850 as my main camera with a variety of lenses. Every now and then I breakout the Gopro to try something a little different.

 

By day I work for the local NHS in the Procurement Team. My interest in photography started some years ago when I worked in the security industry.  Working day and night with access to areas not available to most I photographed landscapes, sunsets and wildlife.

 

More recently I have tried to become more skilled in the technical side of photography. I wanted to take control of the camera rather than just point and shoot. I joined a local photography club to aid this, something I would strongly recommend to anyone to share knowledge and experience. For me, it has made photography far more fun, engaging and (I would like to think) produced better results.

Poole itself boasts a large natural harbour. One of the largest in the world. Dorset's coastline forms part of the Jurassic Coast running down to Devon. It also borders the New Forest National Park.  

 

With these areas of outstanding natural beauty on it's doorstep Dorset gives some of the best opportunities for photography both day and night.
